That way we can keep the Bernie-Hillary sniping in a separate forum, so GD can remain true to its original purpose, which is to bash Obama...

(14,195 posts)Try posting positives about your candidate as OPs not attacks on others maybe the GD wouldn't be quite so toxic?

(10,044 posts)I would happily "R" it.
I'll do it grudgingly anyway because aside from Obama-bashing, there should be a feuding space for Bernie and the Front-runner.

(146,329 posts)read posts. The other forum will still get only a small part of the discussion, as always.

(53,661 posts)The Mods did it because the 'Obama Bashers' (Tea Partiers, Constitutional Party and GOP) wouldn't let the 'Obama Good' thread people share anything without spamming it to death and running people off.
The Mods had the ability to move the anti-Obama posts to the Bash Obama thread, so they soon grew tired of raving to each other. Their thread also filled up with the Ex-Democrats who were Infowars, Beck, etc. fans as well.
And they all refused to vote in 2010 because Obama didn't do what they wanted, just the way they wanted. I might add, they were overwhelmingly white, straight, middle class voters.
I used to lurk there until the Trayvon case came out, and then they really waved their CSA flag for everyone to see... So not all who identify to others as Democrats really are.
And they were so 'principled' they didn't care if headstomping Rand, misogynists, homophobes, racists, theocrats and crooks won. They really didn't care.
No one has posted there in years.

(65,616 posts)Not like it is very many people, just a few that like conflict and strife. GD would be very nice then. I would say use the ignore and trash thread buttons...but that seems impossible for those certain individuals.
