Sandy Rios: Waco Biker Gangs Could Be 'Retrained' To Fight Islamists, Drug Cartels

Not The Onion!!

http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/sandy-rios-waco-biker-gangs-could-be-retrained-fight-islamists-drug-cartels

After nine people died in Waco, Texas, during a fight yesterday between rival motorcycle gangs, American Family Association governmental affairs director Sandy Rios noted on her radio show today the “senseless” violence and waste of life. Instead of letting them fight each other, Rios said, the U.S. government could have just used these gang members to fight drug cartels and Islamists.

“Police have their hands full fighting our real enemies, the cartels, the Islamists, and now they’re fighting motorcycle gangs?” Rios asked. “I find myself thinking, let’s have a little retraining for motorcycle gangs and put them on our side fighting our enemies. That’s what we really need.”

Of course, a right-wing talk show host suggesting that the government work with white gang members to fight “our real enemies” is totally acceptable, whereas a right-wing talk show host like Michael Savage can stir up panic in his base by claiming that President Obama is planning to deputize members of the Crips and Bloods.

these Waco "shitheads" were returned vets. It's just that I know a bit about biker culture and know that many guys come back and find some sense of brotherhood in the clubs.

Not trying to diss vets, man.

Even if some of them do, once they have renounced society to become an "outlaw" LOL, they are no longer fit to serve in the military.

http://www.fbi.gov/stats-services/publications/2011-national-gang-threat-assessment/2011-national-gang-threat-assessment#GangsandtheMilitary

As of April 2011, the NGIC has identified members of at least 53 gangs whose members have served in or are affiliated with US military. Among the identified gangs with military-trained members are street gangs such as the Asian Boyz, Bloods, Crips, Gangster Disciples, Latin Kings, MS-13, Sureños, Tiny Rascal Gangsters, and the Juggalos; the Aryan Brotherhood, Barrio Azteca, and Texas Syndicate prison gangs; and OMGs including the Bandidos, Hells Angels, Mongols, Outlaws, and Vagos. Some gangs, particularly OMGs, actively recruit members with military training or advise members without criminal records to join the military for necessary weapons and combat training.

Younger gang members without criminal records are attempting to join the military, as well as concealing tattoos and gang affiliation during the recruitment process, according to NGIC reporting.

Deployments have resulted in integrating gang members with service members and/or dependents on or near overseas military installations, including those in Afghanistan, Germany, Iraq, Italy, Japan, and South Korea. US military officials have reported a rise in gang graffiti both on and off post in Afghanistan and Iraq (see Figure 11).

The Bandidos sell weapons to the Mexican cartels and buy drugs from them. They're business partners.

The Bandidos control distribution throughout Texas. Their "plaza" system is the same as the Mexican cartels': if Gang A wants to operate in Gang B's territory, Gang A pays a "tax" to Gang B. The Cossacks didn't want to pay the "tax" to the Bandidos, and were trying to gain an independent footing in Texas. Hence the summit, and the bloodbath that resulted.

The reconquista of Spain from the Muslims ended with the conquest of Granada just as Columbus was about to set sail. Ferdinand and Isabella were left with the problem of demobilizing a large number of warriors who all expected to be rewarded for their serices to the crown. Unable to give them lands in Spain, the Spanish crown granted them economendas in the lands across the sea. One of the reason the Spanish conquest was so brutal as it was carried out by very brutal soldiers from Spain looking to establish themselves in the Americas with haciendas and multiple serfs.

With the concomitant expectation that many would die on the way to Outremer, more would perish there, and few, if any, would survive to come home.
