Rep. Alan Grayson On Estranged Wife: ‘Gold Diggers Gotta Dig’

The bizarre marriage annulment proceedings between Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) and his wife Lolita Grayson took yet another turn toward the outrageous during a court hearing on Monday.

After a tentative agreement fell through, Grayson told television station WFTV that the fault of the collapse was with his wife.

“I’ll sum it up for you,” Grayson told WFTV. “Gold diggers gotta dig. That’s all I’m gonna say. … We had an agreement. She’s trying to renege.”

self-control. Yes, divorces are frequently messy, but the judge has kept this proceeding under wraps, and no matter how messy a divorce is, no one is compelled to make a comment like that. How about a good old fashioned no comment or this is a private matter. He has 5 children with her and a comment like that one is hardly helping the kids.

He has no internal speech regulator. Why would you say that in the press about your children's mother? She was with him 20+ years and had five children with him.

My parents divorced and they'd never say something as nasty as that about each other to me and I'm 34 now.

Like "no comment."

Anything beyond that makes him look petty (regardless of how awful she might be).

much like Senate material to me. Not just this but he seems to have a problem with civil discourse. We get enough of that from the other side of the aisle.

Hopefully someday he gets over that. It certainly isn't representative of the sort of person I want to see elected to a higher office.

When my parents got divorced, only one of them made disparaging comments about the other. It was one of the things that let me realize my dad really is a colossal ass.

That was the same year he wrote in the Huffington Post that the IRS should audit every Fortune 500 company because so many appear to be "evading taxes through transfer pricing and offshore tax havens.""

That's an awful long time to wait for the payout.

Sounds like the standard failed marriage by estrangement. It happens.
