Freedom of speech and the freedom to advocate for your point of view is the indispensable Right in the Constitution. I fully support their right to advocate for their point of view, and I suspect they won't have the slightest influence with JC Penney, because despite their grandiose self-bestowed title, I sincerely doubt that One Million Moms represents much beyond their paid mouthpieces, fleecing the gullible and desperately trying to stir up hatred and division.

It looks like three generations of a family with a random aunt thrown in. Did JCP specifically say that's what this is supposed to be? Also, who cares if it is same sex couples. They're part of their demographic. Are these same idiot moms pissed when the ad is in Spanish and the target audience is a Latino family? They got egg on their face when they got angry at Ellen for being the spokesperson, what makes them think they're going to fair much better getting angry about this? They're idiots. So some kids have two moms. Get over it. How does that affect your life in anyway? Just shut up. If you're so worried about your kid getting exposed to something, lock them in the basement if you're so scared to have to explain something to your kid because that's the only way to keep them "safe" from ideals different than your own. A JCP ad is not going to make your kid gay. If your kid is gay, he was gay from the beginning. Why are people so naive and ridiculous? I just really don't get it!

Those are probably virtual "moms". Digits are easily flipped. & Even if there are a million whatever they are, minorities should not be allowed to vote out the rights of others.

It just looks like family or friends.

How disturbed and irrational are these people that they immediately go to gay when seeing something like this?

And just to be clear, when I said specific lesbian reference, I meant something along the lines of a passionate kiss, etc., and for the record, it would not bother me if it was. They use hetero models kissing in ads, why not gay?

Because clearly their numbers don't even come close to a million. It's just an organization of a few hundred miserable women who probably have shitty homelife with kids & husbands who ignore them so they think they somehow have the right to make others miserable too.

I would have just thought they were sisters or friends, though I probably wouldn't have thought about it at all, because I'm not looking for anything.

Edit to add: The two on the far right look like mother and daughter, a typical Mother's Day type ad showing several generations.

that still doesn't mean they are a lesbian couple. Honestly that photo could be viewed many ways. It could be sisters hanging out together, Maybe one of the women is the grandmother and it's her daughters and granddaughters. Maybe it's 3 friends hanging out. I'm a straight woman but I have been known to hug my female friends.

The photo is what you make of it. I probably would have never thought 'lesbian couple' of someone hadn't said that's what it was. I would have thought a bunch of women hanging out and personally not given a rat's ass what their sexual relationships might be.
