I personally feel both of our declared candidates are great candidates.

I believe either will be able to represent democratic values well in the general election.
I do not look on either as an enemy. Our enemy is the crazy Republican Party and their values that favor money (money, money) over people.
I am not going to engage in trashing our candidates or do anything that will give the likes of Brother JEB or Koch head Walker or for gawd's sake the crazy from Kentucky anything that can be used against our eventual nominee.

Some may think one or the other of our candidates are odious. Before you come to that conclusion, please, please think of the possibility of another Bush or perhaps the oligarchs having a direct puppet in the White House.

Hillary Clinton is not the enemy. Bernie Sanders is not the enemy. For that matter, neither are Martin O'Malley or Jim Webb. Our enemy and in my view, America's enemies lie in the Republican Party and what they stand for.

There, I got it out.

Both have pluses and minuses.

I'd be proud to vote for Sanders. Kind of have to settle to vote for Hillary. Hope others enter the primary race.

also must have change. Sen Sanders is for that change.

Match the two candidates issue for issue. We need Sen Sanders.

Here is a list of his stands on important issues: https://berniesanders.com/issues/

Despite having the same doubts I had about Hillary eight years ago, I am very glad Sanders decided to enter the race, and that the winner will have truly earned it. Let the rutting season begin!

We are fortunate to have multiple good candidates as opposed to the clown car the republicans are running. It is crazy to trash any of them.

Thanks for taking the time to post this rurallib.

I think we have a very strong field of candidates. I hope its a spirited campain that demands a tremendous national debate. We are living in an historic period. The fascists own the republican party. They have gone full blown crazy.
A serious field of candidates discussing issues is like a dream come true. Obama only had to beat Hillary. This is shaping up to be a cage match.
D
We have O'malley , he is very bright. Joe Biden may just want that job and has a very formidable machine.
There will be a candidate who you never heard of, a Jimmy Carter or a Gary Heart. A Barack Obama.
Who will be introduced.
So I agree, Hillary will have a fight on her hands. I think thats great.

2. so the GOP's problem is they favor money over people and that's why they can't be allowed into power? because that's going to contradict with the "any and all Dems"--in fact there was never an era when it didn't

I would be happy with either one. Some people don’t seem to understand the concept of not letting the perfect be the enemy of the good. When people start trashing candidates I always remind them that Jesus isn’t running.

Some people were born to stir shit. I say let the Right do that, they’re really good at it.

He will go negative, too, in the sense to distinguish his policies from Hillary's. But, I don't think he'll get into the mudslinging personal attacks.

As for his supporters, they are not obliged to follow the same standards. Certainly not on DU, where the practical influence is close to nil.

have to choose between two great candidates. Each has their own strengths, and I would be happy with either one for President. The GOP thinks they can revert to their lie, smear, and attack tactics, but it won't work. What I look forward to is Ms. Clinton and Mr. Sanders making utter fools of any and all of the GOP candidates. Not only are they principled and articulate, they both know all to well how the GOP / Koch machine works. They will lose the election before the primaries....

May I predict: The Kochs will throw everything they have at the Democratic candidate, but in the process they will expose themselves for what they are. And they will lose. And the reckoning will come when Hillary or Bernie steps into the office.

Let's not get into a debate over which candidate is better. We have to understand that this is a make or break election for the GOP / Koch brothers -they are the enemies of America and we should be focused on stopping them and not let ourselves be distracted.
