Romney Hits Obama On ‘Julia’: ‘Cartoon Character’

Speaking at a campaign event in Michigan on Tuesday, Mitt Romney criticized President Obama for using a fictional woman, Julia, in an infographic, to compare his policies with that of Romney.

“What does it say about the president’s policies, when he has to use a cartoon character rather than stock photo people to justify his record?” Romney asked, to applause.

As I've mentioned in my post last week ~ they make "tight in" shots for Rethugs.

This one was in his " Hometown" and the quick , tight view from my TV looked like 500 -- max.

They said "Boo" on cue.
They clapped on cue.

It was so staged and he did not say anything that was anywhere near quality.

The video should be up by now unless he wisely had it pulled from the web.

Side note about Julia.
Julia is a fictional character in George Orwell's dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. Her last name is never given in the novel but she is called Dixon in the 1954 BBC TV production.[1]

"Julia was born in 1958 in Oceania, the super-state combining North America, South America, Southern Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom (renamed Airstrip One). Her knowledge of events before the revolution is inaccurate as her grandfather, the only close source to her with that knowledge, disappeared when she was eight. Julia integrated herself into the daily life of Oceania early, becoming an especially zealous propagandist for the Junior Anti-Sex League, the Two Minutes Hate, and Community Centres. However, this behaviour served as cover for Julia to become a sexually promiscuous rebel. She had her first affair with a Party member at the age of sixteen."

I'd roll out about 50 separate "Julia's" with "real" people relaying their stories of how policies and priorities of Rmoney would negatively impact their lives. It would be sooooo easy.

- Just find a young girl who has a pre-existing medical condition that would be denied coverage under Rmoney.

- Just find a Grade School girls who would see her classroom size double.

- Just find a High School grad who will be denied a Pell Grant to attend college.

- Just find a young college girl who will be denied screening for breast cancer because of the loss of Planned Parenthood.

- Just find a young single women who has an employer health plan that doesn't cover contraception, and place her next to a man who gets Viagra or a Vasectomy from his insurance plan.

- Just find a hard working single mom who would have to give up her job because of the loss of Head Start, or the child care credit.

- Just find a battered women who is unable to obtain a protective order because the Republicans think she should just "try to get along with her husband, boyfriend, significant other".

- Just find a women doing the exact same job as a mad for 75% of the pay.

and on and on and on....

I swear, you could cultivate a gold-mine from the idiocy of Rmoney saying you should have used "stock people".

It actually says alot about him. To him, those service people he "loves to fire" aren't people. They're simply "stock" that he can pull out and use like socks out of a drawer, and when he used them up, he just shit-cans 'em.
