How do I get rid of unwanted Facebook postings?

I like to go on Facebook because I have friends and family who connect with me there but the spamming from places I never encountered before are crowding the space. I don't see a delete button anywhere...

there's a little down arrow in the right-top
corner of each post. Click on that. But if
you want to make FB a lot more the way
you might want it, try that link.
