Josh Duggar: Christians who aren’t allowed to discriminate against gays are victims of discrimination

Reality television star Josh Duggar believes Christians should enjoy a special right to discriminate against LGBT people or be made victims of discrimination themselves.

The star of TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting,” who works for the anti-gay hate group Family Research Council, said Christians were being forced into silence on social issues such as same-sex marriage, reported CNS News.

“Right now in America there is an agenda to silence people of faith, those who hold a dissenting opinion,” Duggar said. “That’s not what America was founded on. America was founded on respect, tolerance, and really not discriminating against people based on their religious convictions.”

Duggar, the eldest of 19 children and affiliated with the Quiverfull movement, described his Christian views as mainstream orthodoxy.

We should be free to discriminate based on religion. So next time you drive up to my business with that little Jesus fish ornament on your car, I will refuse to sell you anything. And if I'm ever a visitor to the Family Research Council, which will happen when hell freezes over, you can have me escorted out.

No, freedom of speech is only for Christian fundies....

Too bad I can't cry abuse by the eldest Duggar. He is mentally torturing by forcing his beliefs onto my free thinking mind.

Ginger seems to have a mind of her own, and the next oldest boy (can't think of his name) is like in his mid-twenties and (gasp) not even courting anyone yet.

If indeed either or both are gay I send them all my positive thoughts as they will need all the help they can get to withstand the onslaught of hatred they will receive.

He knows how to speak the words well enough, but apparently cannot comprehend their meaning.

It could be he's paid to spout BS.

Businesses and individuals that discriminate use the same public services - sidewalks, roads, schools - as the rest of us. Gay people contribute to the tax base that pays for them. If they are not allowed full access to the community because of sexual orientation, they should get a rebate on their taxes, paid for by the homophobic haters.

Seems pretty easy.

Of course, your continued attempts at glorious, eternal exclusivity won't allow you, but you could actully try and be Christlike.

Okay - let's see if a Duggar spawn will EVER marry someone outside of their faith! Let's see if one of the 19, or the hundreds of grandchildren to come will EVER come out as gay. They will certainly cash their tv show paychecks from those that THEY discriminate against though. Typical.

I think that the Duggar kids are decent and well intentioned. They were born into this, they really haven't had a choice - it was a lifestyle that was forced on them from birth from their born-again parents. Hopefully as they go out into the world they will see that it isn't the horrible evil place that their parents have terrorized them into believing. You can see it in some of the older girls. Perhaps they will see that there can be a balance. Now this guy Josh - he is going to go out there and spew the GOP hate because he has to pay for that great big house in Washington and has a 4th child on the way. If they (FRC) lose, he loses. There is NO excuse for him and I pity his wife and kids.

just understand that some people won't like what you say and will react accordingly.
And if you discriminate in an illegal way, there will be consequences.
