OK, on purely ideological grounds, disregarding electability (and whether they are running),

among those named as potential Democratic nominees, whose positions most closely resonate with you?

And he should have a spot on your poll considering he's actually said he's exploring a run.

I guess Chafee just hadn't registered on my consciousness yet. Been years since I, at least, has heard much from him.

I like Bernie a whole lot and agree with everything he says, but I also like Martin a whole lot and agree with everything he says. But I prefer the demeanor of Martin. I really like his calm and positive approach. Bernie is a flame thrower. Martin is both idealistic and pragmatic. Faced with a choice between equally favorable alternatives, I have to take electability (in the general election) and personality (as superficial as this may sound) into consideration. I think that Martin would appear less controversial and more presidential. I also think that age is on his side, and I would prefer to have a beer with him and find him more approachable. But that is just me and my temperament. All of this will change, I am sure. And Martin may not even enter the race, now that Bernie is about to announce. There are just so many progressive dollars out there, and Bernie will probably get many of them. Overall, I would prefer that both enter and stay in the race. That would be very good for progressive views being aired in different ways.
