Apparently things have gotten out of hand in Baltimore. No traffic allowed into Bmore, light rail closed down and Orioles fans not allowed to leave the stadium. Also a suggested "rest in place" for residents.

(14,449 posts)Tomorrow. I hope the fans are safe. Not sure what the protest is about since they didn't mention it but it must be pretty large to shut down the city.

(25,270 posts)The other day I told a friend that just wait - these protests are going too peaceful. They'll (TPTB) will even the playing field. They'll stir up trouble in these peaceful protests to make the protesters look bad. Lo and behold - that's what looks like its happening now.
I wonder if there are ringers in the crowd of protesters that are causing the trouble. We'll have to wait to hear what is going on and how it started - but I'm feeling that somebody is provoking the crowd - maybe outside protesters not from the community of Baltimore. Rabble rousers.
This always seem to be the way these things play out.

(14,449 posts)Many fans are stuck since the light rail is suspended. Add all those fans to the already large crowd and it could be an interesting night. For the fans, many will probably go to a pub and celebrate the victory. Others will be trying to figure out how to get home and others will be hoping for a hotel room available.
