Democrats don't want poor people voting either; when was the last time you heard a Democrat say the party was all about supporting the poor or the working class? All Democratic politicians care about is the middle class and rich.

The struggle for the poor is always left to the left-of-the dems (which is sometimes referred to as the radical left). Democratic party leadership is always about the middle class and of course the rich. While the rePIGs are for the rich and extremely wealthy (or inherited wealth) while using the delusional middle class rePIGs as aggreable fools and foot soldiers for their fake politics.

They are always fearful of standing up to the rePIGs and only prefer to slicker back to put up namby-pamby protestations that are ineffectual most of the times. That has always been one of my most aggrevating issues with the dems.

Totally agree... the dems always seem to think they will benefit by doing nothing and the reverse always turns out to be true.

Outside of the progressive caucus in the house and a handful of senators, they all play for the same team.

Assumably, because lots are led around by the nose by the corporate media and as many pee their pants as soon as a TeaPubliKlan huffs and puffs.

There is no dividend on being the chump party, it always costs us.

the poor: because they are the first to get cut in budget cuts. Why? Because there is no one in Congress to defend their interests!

This is their evil plan to get rid of Big Government. They are counting on Americans to do this to the poor.

The problem now is that lots more Americans ARE poor and depend on those same programs that at one time they would have looked down upon, such as food stamps and Medicaid. As long as Americans could see themselves as middle class trying to make it into the upper class, they could get away with savaging the poor. But now, it is their ox being gored. THEY, the one time "middle" class are now feeling the heat.

Maybe this is what it takes to wake people up in this counry. I hope so...

Neo-liberals don't want the poor to have any power.
