Martin O'Malley just on NPR; takes it to the hoop!

He explained the difference between Reaganism and traditional Democratic Party values. He said we believe that the middle class drives the economy. He said raising the minimum wage is a real way to help poor and working people, as opposed to what the GOP keeps talking about. He even got censored by NPR (one word was "beeped&quot . I've never heard that from a presidential candidate before, but I think he pulled it off. He was showing his contempt for the rhetoric of the GOP field. That's what I'm talking about!

Does anybody have a transcript?

Raising the minimum wage is a way to help the working class, but we have to do something to build demand for jobs that aren't minimum wage jobs. We need massive investment in infrastructure, expanded scientific research and space exploration. Let's directly fund projects that employ middle class trades, provide a way for people to get training in those trades, and lets direct the talents of our scientists and engineers towards something besides new weaponry.

the health sector is exploding, and the universities will follow, both by training new healthcare workers and expanding services of university medical systems.

the aca has a lot more to do with jobs than most people realize.

We need to redirect our technical professionals as well. Instead of developing the next great military weapon, lets be developing the next great battery.

Maybe we will have a Primary after all. I'm ready for all of them. But O'Malley sounded like he could be a real contender. I liked how many times he answered with...yes, we've already done that.
