A call to support Doug Hughes, gyroscopter pilot who landed on Capitol lawn.

Last edited Sat Apr 18, 2015, 12:17 PM - Edit history (1)

There seemed to be more interest in what the man was flying than what the man was attempting to shine a light on. Pilot Doug Hughes has a lot to say on the corrupting influence of money on our representation. He engaged in non-violent civil disobedience in an attempt to shine a light on what is wrong in our politics, and for that I thank him.

You can read the contents of his letter to Congress here:

http://m.democracynow.org/web_exclusives/2497

He has a website you can find here:

http://thedemocracyclub.org/

Here are several groups who are doing work on getting $$$ out of politics:

Unless we get as much money as possibly out of politics, we will never have the kind of change we need or the country we want.

I expect he'd be dead now if he'd landed on the WH lawn: he landed on the Capitol grounds struggle4progress Apr 2015 #1

That said, CU was (and is) one of the worst decisions by ANY Supreme Court ever. I fully support Doug Hughes.

My mom and I both commented when we first heard the report on MSNBC, (hadn't been online yet), that his reason for doing what he did got a quick mention and that was it. I pointed out to her that this is another bit of evidence of population control exerted by the PTB. Big Brother doesn't like their method of government control to be openly talked about where the Proles can hear!

Check out this article by Devorak in the Washington Post about him: http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/gyrocopter-pilots-stunt-just-the-latest-bid-for-capitals-attention/2015/04/16/20cc2ac2-e438-11e4-905f-cc896d379a32_story.html

I like the part when she compares his efforts with those people with the Gulfstream 650's who fly into National airport with piles of cash for capital hill.........

If he had called the president a liar or shot an unarmed man, the right would be raising hundreds of thousands for this man. Doug Hughes did something very courageous. Why aren't we, the people, raising money for his legal fees?
