"Hillary Clinton is going to be the next president."

Hillary Clinton is going to be the next president. The US is sharply and nearly irrevocably divided into what will become His and Hers, and Hers, the Democratic voting bloc, is a bit larger. Turn off the TV, join a book club, travel, teach your goldfish new tricks – whatever. Just don't spend the next year and a half pretending that all the campaign coverage is important. It won't be. Entertaining, certainly, and fodder for stand-up comedians, but not important.

...and the Stepford Clown Car on the GOP side guarantees her the presidency.

I'm afraid it's that simple, alas. The Republican candidates are paralyzed by their party doctrine, and our candidate will only have to put in the hours to win.

I doubt that there are any real scandals left that we aren't already okay with.
