As part of the International Day of Pink, a day of events in which people “unite in celebrating diversity and raising awareness to stop homophobia, transphobia, transmisogyny, and all forms of bullying,” Toronto, Canada cop Luke Watson fought discrimination in his own way — by dying his hair hot pink.

Officer Ryan Willmer posted a photo of Watson online, and the pink-haired public servant is allowing Twitter to decide how long he keeps his new hair color, too!

Watson promised to keep the pink hair color for one week for every 1,000 tweets the photo receives. Past that, each 100 retweets adds a day to the lifespan of Watson’s new ‘do.

So far, the photo has been retweeted nearly 3,000 times, meaning Watson should be keeping the new hairstyle at least into May.

An awesome cop?!
