Iran: No signing final nuclear deal unless all economic sanctions are lifted on first day

Iran: No signing final nuclear deal unless economic sanctions are lifted

(CNN)Iran will only sign a final nuclear agreement if economic sanctions against the nation are removed on the first day of the deal's implementation, President Hassan Rouhani said Thursday.

The United States, however, has stressed that if a final deal is reached with Iran, the removal of any sanctions will come in phases.

I still think all the victory laps were premature, more Congressional Democrats will be against any deal that immediately lifts sanctions without Iran having to meet inspection and implementation goals/milestones.

1. I think Iran wants the deal to fail.

You don't start demands after a tentative deal was made. It will take a miracle for this deal to happen.

5. Lifting of sanctions were part and parcel of the peace deal, this is not a new demand.

Where is the quid pro quo if sanctions are not lifted...remember what got Iran to the peace table in the first place!

So America must trust, but verify, but Iran should just trust? THIS Congress??

They may actually pass stricter sanctions and many Democrats will help them do it.

7. I disagree. Once the entire details of the Great Deal are known, sanctions will be lifted...and do

not forget America is just one country...the world will lift them and Iran will do just fine without McDonald's.

8. Iran won't go with any deal that doesn't lift US sanctions

It costs them tens of billions a year. I would expect about 80% of Congress to not support any deal that immediately lifts sanctions before Iran even allows full inspections or before most of their existing Uranium is moved out of the country.

2. Understandable. They have to make a strong push to offset what they agreed to
