The beautiful men of Paris’ metro...oh, là là!

For the past two weeks, Parisians have been uploading their photos of the best-looking men riding the capital’s metro system on social networks. The Instagram account called “Mecs Metro Paris” (“Paris Metro Dudes”) has already won over more than 62,000 fans. The idea is simple: if you see a handsome man, you take his picture (surreptitiously or not) and post it with the hashtag #MecsMetroParis.
This trend started in London, where the site TubeCrush has been sharing photos of dashing underground riders for several years now. The site’s owners say that even if most photos are taken in secret, generally, the men who spot their photo on their site are more flattered than angry. The BBC reports that the Brits’ photos have been trending in China lately, but it seems Chinese Internet users haven’t yet discovered the Frenchmen…
