sent a team to the NCAA made up of a bunch of sore losers who behaved boorishly? Seems like they were a perfect fit.

(3,709 posts)As a graduate of the University of Kentucky, and a Wildcat fan, I know your comment has no merit. You do not know these players or the fans and to single out one unfortunate comment which Harrison made when he was upset and apologized for is not very considerate. These young men are academically strong and have been highly unselfish in their work for the community. They were heartbroken over the loss, and do not need to be compared to that slime McConnell. By the way, Kentucky's basketball coach is Democrat.

(52,166 posts)as bad as it was. Many of the players also refused to shake hands after the game. Honestly they were pretty petty.
and later they went to Wisconsin's players and congratulated them, some of whom are their friends, and apologized. These young players were stunned and heartbroken immediately after the game. Surely, you remember when you were young how such a loss can hurt.
It's obvious you have a low opinion of Kentucky, but unless you live here, are from here, or spent time here, you do not know this state. Like any other state, it has its good and bad points, but we are not all barefoot hillbillies. While you are certainly entitled to your opinion, I find it quite unfortunate you chose to make such a statement in this context. I''m originally from South Carolina, just in case you have something to say about my home state.

(1,184 posts)As if there's any association between the actions of a few ballplayers and the electorate. When Democrats get accused of being cultural elitists, slimy generalizations like yours are the reason why.
I could point to boorish behavior from athletes in states that consistently vote Democratic.
By the way, we do quite fine electing Democrats at the local level. Look for Governor Jack Conway come next year.
Kiss my Kentucky, liberal, University of Kentucky Masters Degree ass.
