=====================
Just before 8 a.m. on Feb. 6, Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin took to Twitter to wish a happy 22nd anniversary to my lovely bride Tonette, and included a wedding photo of the couple in gown and tails. An hour later on Twitter, Mr. Walker posted a photo of another object of his affection: Today, he wrote, is the 104th anniversary of President Ronald Reagans birth!
That same evening, the Walkers celebrated by traveling to Eureka College in Illinois, Reagans alma mater, where the governor delivered a 30-minute speech about the kinship he felt with the former president.
I often joke that I know Ronald Reagans birthday because its my wedding anniversary, Mr. Walker told the colleges Ronald W. Reagan Society. But truth be told, Tonette would tell you, I know our wedding anniversary because its Ronald Reagans birthday.
Expressing reverence for Reagan has been almost a requirement for Republican presidential candidates since 1988, but Mr. Walker has taken to it like an apostle to his creed. As he prepares a White House run, and envisions competing against candidates named Bush and Clinton, Mr. Walker is going to great lengths to claim the Reagan legacy all for himself.

I am getting the feeling he is stalking the Reagan family. Maybe he will try to babe DNA testing.

follow a script. Scotty is -really- good at memorizing the memes.
He doesn't think too well on his own, but he's got the knack of knowing where to stick in a meme.

(50,560 posts)3. Scott, are you sure you want to?
Reagan's legacy includes 11 tax increases, tripling both the national debt and the deficit, the highest U3 unemployment rate in the history of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and a foreign policy that exactly fits the Constitutional definition of treason.
If Scott Walker wants to claim the Reagan legacy all for himself, let's impeach the bastard now and avoid the rush.
