Feeding and sheltering homeless LGBT kids doesn't raise anywhere near what bigots did for bigotry

This charity drive has been posted a couple times here but it is worth posting repeatedly until the goal is met.

Pizza4equality hasn't received the press that Memories Pizza did. The stories of what are still happening to LGBT kids doesn't draw the attention that some perceived discrimination of religious rights to discriminate does. The fact that LGBT kids are still bullied, kicked from their homes, made to go through harmful "therapy" to "get rid of the gay," doesn't make headlines. So the fund raising is slower to help these kids.

This is a great cause. Cyndi Lauper's True Colors charity is a 501 (c) charity helps LGBT homeless kids. They're trying to beat the donations of over $840k, raised in a couple days for Memories Pizza, by April 29th. We have a long way to go.

Please give if you can. Please spread the word anyway you're able. Let's show how giving we can be.

I love Equality House. I don't know though if it's a 501 (c) The donations to the True Colors fund are tax deductible.

And there's a big difference between the love and hate campaigns. The hate campaign had an initial donation of $25k from fox and was on fox, Limbaugh and other right wing nutjob shows pretty much all day for a few days.

I've met Cyndi a couple of times, a few people I know have worked with her closely and I just wanted to say that I've seen her go out of her way to do the right thing when most others would not have even seen that there was a right thing needing done. She was also really good to her pet cat, something I know DU holds in high regard. Lots of people are famous, but Cyndi is a true star.
