Is he complaining because the firemen don't shop at a grocery store closer to the fire station?

2. He's paying taxes, and they have the audacity to think they can eat when they're working.

3. Yes, he is. But really he's pissed about a new fire tax, he's a teabagger.

I searched and found this story on the Blaze, a RW site, don't go if you don't want to give them traffic.

Fire Tax: http://www.chicoer.com/general-news/20120824/butte-county-residents-receive-fire-tax-bills-for-zero-dollars/1

They hate big government but are the first to squawk about being underserved.

As to the complaint: they went to the Oroville Raleys that has much better prices and the savings probably more than offset the cost of fuel.

If taxpayers paid for the fuel, I don't care, it's not going to break the bank, a 4 mile drive.

And, the maintenance on the truck isn't greater for a few trips like this and running the equipment is good for the equipment, firefighters make runs all the time to keep things oiled.

I don't think he understands or cares that they work 24 hr shifts and pay for their own food. At least the firefighters around here do. So so what if they drive a little farther to another store.

7. That's my take. They waste all that time driving a couple miles, time they are paid for by taxpayers

9. Hookay... well for starters, Firemen usually work 48 hours on 96 hours off...

So during that 48 hour shift they aren't supposed to eat? Or maybe "Tax Paying Jackass" would rather them eat take out food which will cost him 3 times as much. What a sad little existence this man must have to actually have time to find flaws in a first responder wanting to, eat and then taking the time to make his views known. .
