than stand up for anti-gay pizza parlor.
Guess they don't believe in right wing Jesus Ann.
On Thursday evenings edition of The OReilly Factor, host Bill OReilly and Ann Coulter had a conversation that was essentially one of those reverb loops that happens when you put a cellphone near a speaker or an idiot near another idiot.
OReilly wanted to discuss the war on Christianity, (a made-up thing) that was apparent when an Indiana pizza place refused to serve gay couples, which prompted national outcry.
Its Christianity that the left hates most of all because that is the foundation of our country and all of our freedoms come from that, Coulter said. The rest of the world is a cesspool of violence and atrocities. This is the most consequential nation on Earth and the fact that these Christians would rather get praise from the New York Times and Nicholas Kristof by changing bedpans of Ebola patients in Nigeria, rather than stand up to the New York Times and fight against abortion and fight against these bullies, and I dont think its gay bullies, I think its as you call them, secular progressives or liberals. The media, theyre the ones who are trying to tear down this country by going directly at the heart of America which is Christianity.
She continued: The small town owners of pizzeria have more Christian courage than most Christian leaders and certainly the Republican party.

(12,081 posts)and accept Jesus as their savior then wouldn't they also be afraid of pissing God off by not living the way Jesus taught? After all Jesus is God, and Jesus is telling them to attend to the sick and the poor. I think this just goes to show, it's not really about God at all. It's about having power over people.

(115,858 posts)than empty the bedpan of an Ebola patient - which would require some actual courage and compassion. Donate a little money and you get to feel all good and self-righteous; work with Ebola patients, you are actually putting your own life on the line. So who has real "Christian courage," Ann, you repellent stick insect?

(82,849 posts)That can only mean one thing, and that's "hate your neighbor." So glad that Ann Coulter is here to provide us with the One True Interpretation of scripture. A living example, that's what Ann Coulter is!

Oh, and he stole a horse and burned down a tree for no reason.

(62,444 posts)I certainly don't miss having someone engage in interpretational whitewashing of the text.
Fruit trees are valuable there, and belong to someone. There was no good reason for him to torch someone's fig tree. None.
As far as the disciples not liking her, that is correct. Women alone are suspect in the Middle East generally, and the all male group of disciples certainly didn't admit them.

(41,212 posts)It takes a lot more courage to change bedpans of Ebola patients than to refuse to serve gay couples at a pizzeria, as well as doing a lot more good.
I am not a religious person, but can't help noting that the Gospels include a lot more about healing the sick than about refusing to serve gay couples!

I might. IF she could keep her mouth shut during the process.
