What A Story: Seth Hutchinson is the star of his father's press conference

In his press conference this morning, Gov. Asa Hutchinson said his son, Seth, was among those who signed a petition calling for him to veto HB 1228.

"It has divided families and there is clearly a generational gap. My son, Seth, signed the petition asking me, Dad, the governor, to veto this bill. It shows that there is a generational difference on these opinions."

That inspired the New York Times to do a short profile on the younger Hutchinson, 31, a union organizer living in Austin, Texas.

Meanwhile, in an article called "Arkansas governor cites his son while rejecting religious freedom bill. That says it all," the Washington Post used him to make a point about the inevitability of same-sex marriage.

I can't believe he respects anyone, even his own flesh and blood...then again, life is full of surprises.

Never mind; I know.

I just fear that the son will be a beautiful, inspirational fig leaf for whatever shitty bill the father does eventually sign.

Hope he is instead the start of something great.

Time to remind everyone America is a secular nation founded on rejection of religion in government.

Look it up.

Our governor's son just got an internship with the NY Mets.

I don't know if Christie's political pull had anything to do with it.

it comforts you to think so, Grand Dragon Hutchinson. Note: Research says one of the ways to identify a conservative is their incorrect and nearly unswerving belief that most folks think exactly like they do.

Bigots often teach their kids their same hate, though a few seem to escape, at least in the early years. We'll see how this goes.
