Victim's family refuses Klingenschmitt's money

DENVER - The family of the pregnant Longmont woman who was brutally attacked is rejecting a donation from Colorado state Rep. Gordon Klingenschmitt (R-Colorado Springs,) who said the incident amounted to punishment from God for laws allowing abortion.

When confronted about his controversial remarks, Klingenschmitt pointed out Thursday that his charity made a $1,000 donation to the family of Michelle Wilkins.

A Wilkins family member contacted 9Wants to Know on Friday to tell us that they had refunded the donation.

He just another filthy charlatan who cons people. The clergy, regardless of what nitwit denomination they represent, are all alike. Like my father-in-law, who had a son in the ministry, said of him that he couldn't hold a descent job and had always been a lazy bum looking for a handout. When he said that I almost fell off my chair laughing. Have you ever noticed how many of these assholes are fat slobs that need to go on a diet?

DENVER - Rep. Gordon Klingenschmitt (R-Colorado Springs) found himself the subject of a rare public scolding on the Colorado house floor Friday, over controversial remarks he made about the tragic stabbing of a pregnant woman.

With a group of female Republican house members behind here, assistant minority leader Rep. Polly Lawrence expressed their displeasure with Klingenschmitt.

"Members, recently this week we've had a member make some very inappropriate and hurtful comments related to a horrific event that happened in Longmont," Lawrence said. "I just want to take this moment to make it very clear that these comments that were made do not reflect our caucus. They are not representative of our caucus, and we soundly reject them. Thank you."

This week, on a satellite TV show he produces, Klingenschmitt said that the tragic case in Longmont amounts to punishment from God for our laws on abortion.

The nerve of that man!

My charity threw a pittance of money at the problem. So, shut up already? He's managed to sink even lower. Which I didn't think was possible.
