Arizona wackette proposes solution to Amerika's problems - make Sunday church service mandatory. Though, in all fairness, she admits it "might" not be Constitutional.
Now if you want to waste a few more brain cells, at the site below, she makes the claim of a 6,000 year old world in some sort of bill dealing with Arizona uranium mining.

And from another site confirming her viewpoints on creation and her interest in reforming some state laws-
" a lawmaker whose primary issue this session has been reforming public-employee disclosure laws a change prompted by her son-in-law, a former jail detention officer, who got caught in flagrante delecto trading cigarettes for oral sex. This was her going-home bill.
But, really, that creates an image of Machiavellian complexity that does not do Sen. Allen justice. She is an intensely religious product of an isolated LDS (Latter Day Saints) village, Snowflake, whose views and values perfectly reflect a most sheltered upbringing. Yes, she does believe the Earth is, roughly, 6,000 years old."

(5,514 posts)due to concerted efforts to diminish the quality of public education in specific communities. Then they are fooled and manipulated both by equally 'dumb' people and by those with the knowledge and power to exploit them. Plenty of worming involved from the top down.

(33,688 posts)Read Rick Perlstein's Before The Storm. I know it opened my eyes about just how broad and deep the vein of imbecility has run in this country for many decades, going all the way back to the New Deal era. The fundamental, bedrock stupidity and xenophobia has been there, going back to the Know-Nothings in the 1800s.
