Arkansas Bill Would Allow Your Boss To Force You To Friend Him On Facebook

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2015/03/25/arkansas-bill-would-allow-your-boss-to-force-you-to-friend-him-on-facebook/

It’s time we stop letting Republicans call themselves the small government party. They love government, as long as it props up big business. That’s called fascism, by the way, and politicians’ latest foray into fascism is in the form of an Arkansas bill that would give employers access to your social media accounts.

The bill passed the Arkansas House with only one vote against, so yes, Arkansas Democrats are just as big government, but at least they don’t call themselves the small government party.

There is currently a ban on employers mandating that they have access to employees’ social media accounts and the bill would lift that ban:...

Despite the contention that the bill is for the children, children’s advocacy groups don’t like it one bit. Not only would employers have access to people’s status posts, they would have access to groups and pages that could out an employee as a victim of domestic violence. I suspect it could also out employees that might be hiding their sexual identity. It is still legal in Arkansas to discriminate against LGBT people.

as they are about dictating people's "moral" and "social" behavior. Where it always falls apart - aside from the ridiculous fallacy that there's any right to do any of these things - is that they won't ever spend a dime on anything but the MIC. Find a way to regulate this shit through the MIC, and all bets are off. Fascism will look great in comparison.

However should such be the case. I suspect they would not understand any of my posts. It is fun to able to be hyper critical and it going right over their heads. I do it on a daily basis on my page.

What you do is have a generic, little used account in your name. Leave privacy setting on it wide open.

Then the one you actually use with either something misspelled and/or a funky middle name with privacy settings locked down.

I predict many, many people will simply stop using it rather than expose their FB selves to their employers, however innocuous that may be.
