#BoycottIndiana: Big Names React To Passage Of Anti-LGBT ‘Religious Freedom’ Bill (TWEETS)

Gov. Mike Pence (R-IN) signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) into law on Thursday and America is outraged. The act legalizes biblically inspired bigotry.

Now Indiana based businesses and organizations have the right to refuse service to those offending their religious beliefs. The law is intended to allow discrimination against the LGBT community, but atheists, Muslims and divorcees could be targeted. Really, anyone violating a biblical passage is at risk for discrimination.

I’m sorry, but it wasn’t okay when the bible was used to justify slavery. It wasn’t okay when religion was used to deny marriage to interracial couples. It’s not okay to use the bible to justify bigotry toward same-sex couples today.

America agrees and the floodgates of outrage have opened. The hashtag #BoycottIndiana is trending on Twitter. Celebrities, CEOs, organizations, politicians and athletes are lashing out at Indiana and Gov. Pence over this medieval law.
