Making it a possible Republican Pick up. Harry was tough to beat as an incumbent. I'm not sure if we can keep the seat without a lot of time and money and a damned good candidate.

Not keeping people until they fall from natural death. Sometimes, this means taking risks, but there is nothing good in a party where leaders are all above 70s and there for 30+ years. This is a sign of a weak party, which is what the democratic party has become.

The honoring of wisdom and the employment of sharply honed skills is a sign of strength, while discarding excellence for being older is a sign of foolishness. This Party has at the top Barack Obama, who is 54.

many others have served well into their 70's. ("well" in both contexts - long into their 70's and served the Dems well)

"nothing good"? "weak party"?

just wow

In all the years I've been following politics Harry has stood up to bullies twice. It's not enough. I want a firebrand in the form of George Galloway to lead the Democrats in the Senate. I'm lucky enough to have Al Franken as a senator, but he kills with subdued wit. We need someone not afraid to lose.

We might have to start facing the fact that stupid is winning in this country and we will reap what we sow.

We need a new voice in the Senate. honestly if we can take back the senate in 2016 the idea of Hillary in the white house while Warren sets the liberal agenda in the senate thrills me. (Not that the idea of Warren as president doesn't sound good to me, but congress is so HORRIBLY broken with GOP politics that we really need a strong voice there to bring the agenda back to the left).
