Is all this recent misogyny just a prelude for something else?

...like, say, a woman running for president?
Are they trying to innure us to women being attacked as if that's normal so they can sharpen their knives against Hillary and get even more vile against her??

The reason misogyny is in the headlines is because women on social media are able to pick up the ball and run with it. Even with the added and much needed media attention, men will swarm to punish women for speaking up. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I don't think HRC has much, if anything, to do with the insanity that is being seen, particularly at the state level.

Go and Google "Gamergate" and "Anita Sarkeesian" (for a start). Misogyny: not just Republicans, not just politicians, not just Americans, not limited to right-wingers trying to restrict access to abortion and birth control.
