Want to buy a flamethrower? Soon to be available, completely legal in 49 states
The XM42 from Ion Productions is every pyromaniac's dream come true: a personal, portable flamethrower that's (amazingly still) legal everywhere except California. You'll be able to get your own flame on for as little as $700
Haven't seen a lot about this item, surprisingly.

At 700 it's pretty pricey, though it wouldn't surprise me if it sells out immediately. A item like this is a wet dream for a lot of people.

Terrible idea.

Hornets are a pain in the ass as they are, dealing with flaming hornets is much worse.

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, “You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I’m just not close enough to get the job done.”

The NFA of 1934 regulates suppressors, full-auto firearms, rifle barrel length, shotgun overall length, cannons over .50-caliber etc., etc., etc. but not a word about flame weapons. It’s a non-issue with the Feds and barring state regulations any citizen can own/operate a flamethrower (note- this is not legal advice, consult your local and state laws before you acquire something that wherfs flammen!).

The difference is old military models run $10k+. This one isn't pricey, it's affordable.

I wouldn't worry too much though. Darwinism will slow the market.

and you can't burn someone to death when you're shot dead. Unless you crowbar them both when they're not looking.

and entirely legal as far as I know. It's undoubtedly not as effective as a firearm, but if you could get off a few rounds, I'm sure a bad guy could be disabled until the cops showed up.

I used one at my granddad's farm to clear brush. (Not this model, which looks a little too fancy for me.) As hipsters keep going Back to the Land, expect more expensive bespoke farm implements.
