"A Transportation Security Administration agent was attacked by a person with a machete at Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans on Friday night, Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand said. A law enforcement officer shot the suspect three times. He was taken to a hospital where authorities said he was unresponsive. The TSA agent suffered a cut to the arm, Normand said."

A TSA officer and a traveler sustained non-life threatening injuries -- apparently from bullets fired at the man by a sheriff's deputy.


Barney Fife to the rescue, apparently--the TSA agent was also shot, I guess--or there was another TSA agent shot by a LEO...!
