Now I can't help but wonder how great it would be if SCOTUS was comprised by a majority of women. I think this court would be a whole different animal - for the better.

All of them are superstars, but I just love to read about how RBG had to overcome so much sexism in the early years and how she handled it. Yes, there's still sexism now, but she was a true pioneer and she was very smart about handling it.

I just wish there was more reading material about RBG at my local libraries. Of course, being behind the still- conservative Orange Curtain, i.e., Orange County, CA may have something to do with that. I've noticed there is more material about Sandra Day O'Connor at the libraries here. Anyway, I had a really nice interaction with a young woman assistant at the library recently one day -- I stopped by to see if a book on RBG was available and she didn't really know who she was. After talking to her for awhile while we looked up books, I could see it sparked her interest to read about the female Supreme Court justices. Her interest really made me smile.
