the use of some clever software tools... but then Amazon will push another update, wireless if necessary to reclaim its territory.... then the Kindle can once again have its bond paid with yet another clever software tool... and so on and so forth.

Honestly, I think the Kindles would be happier free than under the thumb of the Amazon overlords. Someone should ask them what they'd prefer.

They have a new program where you can order on their website items that may not be in the local store and can be paid with cash. It's their way of competing with Amazon.

Being places to try stuff out for free which people then order much cheaper online is not the greatest business model.

You either have a physical store or you don't. And if you have a physical store, you have certain costs that online stores don't have.

How about charging to demo products? With the charge credited back if you buy from them? Adding restaurants or bars? White-glove installation and support? Anything that you can do that online retailers cannot.

I'd way rather shop online when feasible. Maybe manufacturers should pool their resources and have showcases for the sort of merchandise that's best viewed in person.

taking root on my phone allows me to install apps that can scale the CPU, backup and export apps, as well as creating complete backups of my OS. i'm also able to export apps from my phone to .apk and install most of them on to my fire.

Also, books don't have batteries that die when you're in the middle of reading something good.
