Re: The Tehran 47

We can not let the Tehran 47 issue die...

We need to force every GOP candidate for president to either reject or accept their approach.

Even regular apolitical folks can see how mendacious, incendiary and imbecilic it was.

47 traitors

I will assume shooting done by white supremacists until it is proven otherwise by a credible source, I will determine what I consider to be a credible source

The 47 traitors need to be harassed by citizens every step they take in public, they should not be allowed to walk into a Starbuck's without being verbally harassed by everyone there, they should be shamed out of public places

I think the main stream media will try its best to kill this...Tehran 47..issue.

How..not reporting on it.. It will go away..and people will forget..like..

1. Cheney destroying all those emails and real mails...and all that evidence.. it went away
2. Who shut down the government for a number of days? it went away
3. At what cost was the government shut down? it went away

People forget...and since the some of the media really does focus on Benghazi or some stupid emails..

these issues do not go away..do they?

Bill O'Reilly? That seems to have a died a quiet death.

Hillary and Mailgate will be the prevailing news story for the near future. Tehran Tom and his Traitor Tots will fade into history.

Pathetic.

Slanted, lying, right wing, assholes. think about this:

if the situation were reversed, and Democrats did this to a Republican President...no matter who he is/...the media would never, never stop about the treasonous Democratic Party...never...

and you are correct...the Bill O...thing will be gone/ is gone..

Think this one is going to quiet down as quickly.

There are over 250k sigs on the petition, so the WH has to address it.
Other Foreign Leaders are decrying this one.
The Print Media has had to come out against this one.
The Right Wing blogs are trying to create a false equivalency with Pelosi in Syria, but it's not sticking.

This was a pretty major fuck up on the R's side. Esp for the people who didn't forgive Jane Fonda 40 years later.
Now if we can parlay this unforced error into a few forced resignations, it would be a good thing.

That's my opinion, anyway.

You know...like all those pictures of BOROMIR from Lord of the Rings saying "One does not simply...(insert phrase)"

Just do the same with a split screen picture of the high profile GOP Senators who wrote the letter, and on the other side of the picture, something historical.

EXAMPLE 1: Senators on one side, FDR and Churchill on the other side. CAPTION: 47 Senators write a letter to Churchill saying 'don't believe anything Roosevelt says about "borrowing our garden hose" to fight the Germans. As soon as we get Hoover re-elected, we're taking our garden hose back!' Churchill says "#47Traitors."

EXAMPLE 2: Senators on one side, JFK on the other. CAPTION: 47 Senators write a letter to the Soviets saying 'don't believe what Kennedy says about landing a man on the moon before the end of the decade, because some of us Senators will be around for "possibly decades" after he's gone, and we'll cancel the Space Program to pay for tax cuts for the rich." Kennedy says "#47Traitors"

Just do that. Make it a FUN, and WITTY meme, rather than an angry one, and it'll get an unbelievable amount of traction.
