It's pretty obvious that this country is going over a cliff and it has become a spectator sport

It is mind boggling to hear what some of these virtual idiots say and do in our names. Don't even ask me to start giving examples, just read the news.

So, I suggest that some legislator float the idea of Mandatory Voting like it is done in Australia.
In all likelihood it wouldn't stand a snowball's chance of passing, but Republicans would at least be forced to publicly voice their opposition to people voting and maybe wake some people up.
