(31,849 posts)Strategically, one (the Iranians, in this case) doesn't call any part of an negotiating state, idiots unless a widely supported deal is close at hand ... No, one holds onto their idiocy and uses it as the reason the negotiations failed.
I really wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a detailed (and positive) negotiations status release, in the next few days ... close enough to the election to sink a certain candidacy.

(10,044 posts)The non-Jews who want the war mostly are into weapons sales and might be stoking the fires a bit to get more money and sales. An attack on Iran at this time, when the whole Mideast is in disarray with Isis and the other militant groups trying to take over will cause us to lose any allies we have there. Even Saudi Arabia and Iraq, who don't particularly like Iran, probably wouldn't put up with it, especially if they know it's masterminded by Netanyahu... Some things will unite these enemies, and an attack on Iran who is working on an agreement with so many nations, would be just the ticket to do it.
So many Jews moved there to make a home and would make concessions if a peace agreement with the Palestinians could be made. That's what I've seen on the TV, which isn't always truthful.
Obama says the agreement would make Israel safer because of the inspections that would be required...10 years is better than nothing.
