Harry Reid blasts GOP’s Iran letter: ‘Hard slap in the face’

Harry Reid blasts GOP’s Iran letter: ‘Hard slap in the face’

By Burgess Everett

3/9/15 2:53 PM EDT

Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid angrily denounced a Republican-led effort to circumvent President Barack Obama’s pursuit of a nuclear deal with Iran, calling it “hard slap in the face” of the United States.

As Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), the engineer of a letter that panned Obama’s effort as merely an “executive agreement,” watched from the presiding officer’s chair on Monday afternoon, Reid called the end-around by 47 Republicans a “juvenile” attack and an attempt to undermine Obama “purely out of spite.”

“The judgment of my Republican colleagues seems to be clouded by their abhorrence of President Obama. The Republican senators sent a letter to the Iranian leadership aimed at sabotaging these negotiations,” Reid said. “It’s unprecedented for one political party to directly intervene in an international negotiation with the sole goal of embarrassing the president.”

They look like petulant morons.

Which I guess is only appropriate, since
they are indeed petulant morons.

are deeply shocking to me. I knew they were despicable scumbags but never thought even they would go this far, would deliberately betray their own country because of racist hatred of a President.

6. I really don't understand their obsessive hatred of Obama.

They've put their blind hate ahead of everything, even the safety of their own country. There probably is some psychiatric term for this type of self destructive behavior. They can't stop hating. Personally, I wouldn't mind if they just hurt themselves and took the whole nest of traitorous vipers over the cliff with them.

They won't ever stop hating Obama. Now they're foaming at the mouth crazy enough to start an international incident that will jeopardize not only our own future security, but the 5 other nations working to achieve a solution, and all the other regional stakeholders as well.

Group think has a terrible effect on others and the Rethugs have been using this since December of 2008. This similar campaign was used by the Natzi's in the thirties and forties against people of color Jewish people and others who opposed Hitler. Pure Racist Hatred.

9. The next President

Will be Hillary. The only thing they hate more than President Obama is women (proof? Check out years of attempts to control and demean them through GOP actions). The hatred will continue because a bunch of hate filled, mentally ill representatives have been voted in to congress.

This is what we receive when we don't take this threat seriously and don't get out the vote. I'm seriously PISSED off at democratic leadership right now for not leading and allowing this to happen. In 2007/2008 we were in weekly meetings, calling, getting educated on the issues and what we could do about them as citizens. Now? Nothing, and another election less than 2 years away.

It literally makes me sick.

He knows how to completely manipulate desperate people like McConnell and Boner. To bad he did not know 6 years ago, what he knows now.
