Saw the last 15 overs. Looked like England were out of it. Then with some good batting, they looked like they were going to get in. Then the Bangladeshis hit back. Excellent.

Great day for cricket in Bangladesh. I thought they blew it with Iqbal's dropped catch/chance.

I've come to like the lights in the stumps and bails. When I first heard of the idea, I thought it cheesy beyond words. But now I think they're great.

Book Review: Fifty Shades of W. G. Grace

This controversial S&M (Swing and Medium pace) bestseller tells how a sweet, innocent England cricket team is lured into the murky world of the Cricket World Cup in Australia where they are introduced to pain and humiliation, the likes of which few cricketers have experienced before.

"We were thrashed and beaten, over and over again," said naive fresh-faced character Eoin Morgan. "I feel so dirty and used. How many times can you be spanked in one tournament?"

Eye Rating: Ball-squeezingly painful.

Years ago I read a book by the wife of an English cricketer - I think it was Phil Edmund's wife - I still laugh when I remember her book. It was fall down funny. Someone borrowed it and never returned it.
