MLK's niece, a Faux "news" regular weighs in on Obama's Selma speech...

And does what she always does, whines about abortion.

BTW, she's had 2 abortions and 3 marriages herself.

Fox’s Alveda King Attacks Obama’s Selma Speech: ’55 Million Babies’ Have Been 'Denied The Right To Vote' Because Of Abortion

Martin Luther King’s right-wing niece gave a jaw-dropping “analysis” of President Obama’s Selma speech commemorating the 50th anniversary of “Bloody Sunday.”

Even Fox host Gregg Jarrett called Obama’s speech “very eloquent” and “beautifully written.”

However, hosting Alveda King for commentary all but guaranteed criticism. King, who was signed by Fox just in time to bash the speech, is well known to Fox as an Obama hater. But even so, you’d think she could have found something to like about Obama’s powerful speech.

Jarrett said, “What caught my attention at one point – and there were a great many fine points to be made – but the president said, ‘I reject the notion that nothing has changed in 50 years.’ Prejudice and discrimination back then, he said, were endemic. They are not now. They are more the exception than the rule. Would you agree?”

King, who was not at the Selma march, didn’t answer the question. She must have been too eager to launch into her abortion rant.

KING: I listened very intently to the president and to Congressman Lewis. I could almost see my father there, on that Edmund Pettus Bridge, on Bloody Sunday, with Congressman Lewis and so many others: Hosea Williams, James Orange. And my heart is deeply touched.

I also heard what the president did not say. Of course, many things have changed. And we can admit that. And we’re glad that some things have changed. I’m so delighted that we can all vote. This is America. And I urge everyone to get out and vote. However, what the president did not say, there is a whole group of people – over 55 million – who have been denied the right to vote because they’ve been denied the right to live. The little babies in the womb. Legally. What has changed in the last 50 years: 55 million babies have legally lost their lives by abortion. And denied the right to vote. And yet the largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood is getting $2 million from our tax dollars every day. That’s one thing that has changed.

2. Only "little babies in the womb" count. Once they are actual babies outside the womb, the love ends.

Then the babies are just putty to be moulded to His will.

As Jesus intended.

Jesus wants more putty.

12. As the GOP sees it, God wants those babies to suffer(and the wealthy to benefit from their pain).

Because, if you're a Republican today, you don't believe anyone, even newborns, is ever really innocent.

Any God that these people follow or worship. They are vile and hate seeps from every pore.

It's common sense. If you are pro life then you are pro food, pro healthcare, pro jobs and environment. You are NEVER for war.

8. She must be desperate for attention, or money, or both.

Evidently, she couldn't even stay on topic.
This young woman seems to be totally removed from the significance of what happened in Selma, Alabama 50 years ago.

I hope the conservative watchers of Faux Snooze learned something today . . . that anyone can sell out.
Not everybody can be bought.
But, for those that can be bought, 30 pieces of silver must seem like a lot of money!!

closest lieutenants and confidantes, and died in 1969 -- of accidental drowning, suicide, or something darker -- after spending the night watching tv with his daughter. IOW, she more or less woke up and her dad was dead.

I don't think she's had an easy life, and I don't see the point in attacking her today. It just seems nasty.

10. Black fetuses are four times more likely to be aborted than whites

In New York, more black fetuses are aborted than are carried to term.

Abortion does have racial implications. I am a supporter of the right to choose, but when over half of the children of your race don't get a chance to be born (as is the case in New York) that says something about American culture as a whole.

I'm not obliged to watch Fox 'News' because it makes me vomit.

I wonder if she knows education regarding birth control and sex, like the type offered by Planned Parenthood and supported by democrats, help reduce unwanted pregnancies & abortions.

I also wonder who else pays her besides the right wing corporate shills at Fox 'News.'
