"We're willing to be beaten for democracy." Reverend C.T. Vivian

Rev. C.T. Vivian, John Lewis, Jimmy Lee Jackson, and so many other brave men and women fight for the right to be free.

Here's a short snip of the story with real footage in Alabama leading up to and including Bloody Sunday. The fascist pig Sheriff Clark is the head of the monster.

Bloody Sunday in Selma Alabama:

An absolutely riveting series about the civil rights movement of the 50s through 70s, Eyes On The Prize

The episode that covers Bloody Sunday, entitled "The Bridge To Freedom"

who had been in Selma on Bloody Sunday. There were 3 of them who traveled to AL together & when leaving the march, on that bridge, they were beaten, one of them died from severe head trauma.

Just tragic.

Thanks for posting marym. Will bookmark for later.

If I did, I have forgotten. So much happened that day and leading up to it.

Thank you for sharing your story.

Gonna check it out with the family. Might convince my five year old that the KKK are not real WIZARDS! She think they are like Harry potter.

That image has to go.

If you have never seen the series, start from the beginning. Just make sure it doesn't have the "II" in the title or you'll be mixed up in time.

I think everyone in the world should watch The Eyes On The Prize. Best documentary ever.

I don't know your 5 year old so I obviously can't say, but I think it is OK for most 5 year old kids to watch. But that obviously depends on the kid. Some may be too sensitive. I just remember watching the reality on the news at that age. From 67 on.

It's just that they look so much like wizards. Stupid ass robes and shit. Kids love wizards. I used to think the same thing when I was a baby like her. She will get it.
