Kansas Sec. of State floats conspiracy theory about Obama

Kansas Secretary of State and erstwhile Archie comics side character Kris Kobach said on his radio show, called the Kris Kobach Show, that President Obama will order that all black criminals not be prosecuted. In fact, Kobach even said that “it’s already happening, more or less, in the case of civil rights laws.” The Topeka Capital-Journal reports:

Kobach was referring to a voter intimidation case in Philadelphia in November 2008. Two members of the New Black Panther Party, King Samir Shabazz and Jerry Jackson, were accused of shouting racial slurs and threats to voters outside a polling station. The charges against Shabazz were later narrowed and the charges against Jackson were dropped by the Department of Justice, leading to accusations by conservatives that Attorney General Eric Holder had mishandled the case.

Kobach is notorious for orchestrating voter suppression schemes in Kansas.

"Let's make laws that disenfranchise, marginalize, and criminalize the the black community." - Then when those things happen, it's held up as proof that there is some sort of problem with minorities.

And then on the other hand, when there is resistance, when those things don't happen, it's OH NO, part of some evil conspiracy.

Do these people think this stuff on their own, or is there a central clearing house for really dumb republican ideas?
