"Ben and Jerry Are Game to Make Weed Ice Cream"

More: http://www.bdcwire.com/ben-jerry-weed-ice-cream/?s_campaign=bcom%3Asocialflow%3Afacebook

America’s favorite hippie dairymen have heard the people’s cry for cannabis-infused ice cream, and they’re not ruling it out.

Vermont-based co-founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield appeared on HuffPost Live last week to chat about the company, which they remain involved in more as figureheads than decision-makers these days. When asked if they would consider releasing weed ice cream where it is legal, Cohen immediately jumped on board.

“Makes sense to me,” he said mid-bite. “Combine your pleasures.”

Greenfield, clearly the more cautious of the two, wearing a polo instead of a “Stamp Money Out of Politics” t-shirt, gave a more measured response. He explained that he and Cohen had “previous experiences with substances,” and continued, “I think legalizing marijuana is a wonderful thing, rather than putting people in jail.”

I know a lot of people go for the weed-food thing, but it just doesn't seem like a good idea for me, personally. I enjoy a nice meal, and if I really like something, I'll have seconds--when something is infused with an intoxicating substance, that's not a good idea! Wouldn't want to end up like that NYT columnist Maureen Dowd, who wrote a column whining about her own stupidity!

Cut the pan into 6 squares and drove down to the beach after eating them. We got there just as things were starting to get sparkly. 6 hours later we came out of the water looking like prunes.

My roommates and I , standing in line for Star Wars, and one of the mates got the munchies, ate his entire brownie in line, and promptly fell asleep an hour later in the theater just as the lights dimmed.
And snored thru out the entire movie.

Good times........

Eh, whatever. People will put weed in anything these days.

Whatever happened to it just being brownies? Does anyone remember the brownies? How about chicken and weed soup?

Having never eaten anything that was "cannabis-infused" I have no idea if that adds to the flavor in any particular way. Do brownies, for example, still taste like ordinary brownies, or different in some way?

If there is a flavor, is it a pleasant flavor, or one you try to mask with other flavors?

I heard from a guy who I went on a backpacking trip with that weed brownies "taste like crap". To him, weed brownies taste nothing like ordinary brownies.

Have never been able to get my lungs to cooperate with inhaling ANYTHING, my whole life. Not once. But I have eaten weed meat loaf, weed spaghetti sauce, and, yes, weed brownies. Been a real long time, though, maybe 40 years.

I am part of his campaign, Stamp Stampede (www.StampStampede.org) to get big money's influence out of politics by rubber-stamping money with "Not to be used for bribing politicians." Well, that's the stamp I have and I stamp everyday. It's a really fun way to stay active about campaign finance reform and I am spreading the word with one simple stamp all over New York City. I love that Ben promotes the campaign everywhere he goes. You should join!
