Multiple, multiple, multiple trigger warnings: interview with Delhi rapist

I may not have made this clear enough. I mean this seriously: multiple appalling trigger warnings from this.

http://www.rediff.com/news/report/delhi-rape-she-shouldnt-have-fought-back-delhi-bus-rapist-rants-without-remorse/20150302.htm

Singh says: ‘You can’t clap with one hand -- it takes two hands. A decent girl won't roam around at 9 o'clock at night. A girl is far more responsible for rape than a boy. Boy and girl are not equal. Housework and housekeeping is for girls, not roaming in discos and bars at night doing wrong things, wearing wrong clothes. About 20 per cent of girls are good.”

Mukesh’s victim, a physiotherapy student, was raped and assaulted with an iron rod after she was tricked into boarding an unregistered private bus to go home after watching a movie with a male friend.

Her male companion was badly beaten up and could not come to her rescue while the assault was being carried

Jesus.

What his lawyers said was even worse, sadly.

Unfortunately, this is one of them. The defendant does not deny his participation in the rape. The DNA evidence confirms it, as do witness statements.

While I am very, very hesitant to use the utmost punishment, this really is one of those cases, like war crimes, where it seems to be justified.

maybe a tad more subtle. but... it is clearly there. and it tries to rule, who we women are and who the men are allowed to be.
