12-year-old’s Facebook page locked after YouTube clip questions President Barack Obama’s love of

country.

A 12-year-old African-American boy from Georgia, embraced by Republicans for conservatism, has apparently had his Facebook page locked – days after he put up a YouTube video questioning President Barack Obama’s love for his country. From the Washington Examiner:

On Friday, C.J. Pearson, a 12-year-old conservative from Georgia who posted a viral video supporting Rudy Giuliani, discovered that his personal Facebook page was locked. In an exclusive interview with Examiner.com on Saturday, Pearson said he received a message from someone about 6 a.m. Friday. That’s when he learned his account and page had been locked for “suspicious activity.”

"Suspicious activity' is a standard blanket reason facebook uses when they lock accounts.

I have friends who created a page for their dog. I guess the kid could've said what his age is & someone notified FB?

I received this in an email from a rw relative. Someone obviously is exploiting this child for their own agenda. Sad they have to resort to such manipulation.

Someone 'alerted' on the video. Facebook looked at the account, saw he was a kid, suspended the account. I'm reasonably certain it had nothing to do with the video.

that Facebook locked his account because of some "age requirement". It will be seen as speech suppression, regardless of their real motives. We may not like what he said, but he does have the right to say it. That being said, FB is a private entity, and can use whatever criteria they wish to regulate their site's use. But, public opinion is vital to the success of Facebook.

Looks like everything you need to count as a conservative is the ability to parrot spoon-fed lines.
