since most people are out there doing the best with what they have.

A lot of them just don't have much to work with.

I agree with this thread.

The vitriol and hate towards disabled and many who have little chance to ""move up and out" of certain circumstances is hard to believe these days.

Years ago I was social worker with TBI/brain injured clients in a state run facility- they lived in tiny rooms (paid by Medicaid) and 70 bucks a month. Most of them cannot drive, but are mentally high functioning and still have a brain.

They appreciated the smallest of things, being driven to a movie or the library. many of the were just victims of tragic accidents or sports injury, and had no insurance to cover brain surgery etc...Medicaid was need to save their lives.

This was before the SSI was cut by Bush. can only imagine what happened to that place if t even exists now
