There aren't going to be any Marquess of Queensberry Rules this year.
Candidate Obama didn't beat the Clinton Machine using Marquess of Queensberry Rules.
The Obama campaign is getting ready to use tactics that some people may not like, especially Republicans, but they are going to use them anyway. To great effect.
So either get an industrial sized bottle of antacids or lay low for about 6 or 7 months. Because this is about to get real messy, very quickly.
Only saving grace for me is I like this kind of stuff. Actually, I love it.
So better get ready to rumble. If you have the stomach for it that is?

(1,328 posts)The thought of romney winning scares me to death because we know who will own him and what will happen to this country.
I am worried about their super pac money and the stupidity of people that listen to their lies, going to the polls with the lies ringing in their ears.

(31,849 posts)that the Obama Campaign will "pull out all stops" and be "exceedingly vicious"; but I really don't believe so.
Now ... I may get shouted down here; but, assuming you are equating violation of the Marquess of Queensberry Rules with being "vicious/unfair/going into the gutter", I really do not recall Candidate Obama being particularly "dirty" with respect to Candidate Clinton. Further, I have not seen him being particularly vicious toward the teaparty/gop to this point ... why do you expect that to change? Especially when he does not have to. You see, I don't necessarily equate the telling of an unflattering truth and violation of the Marquess of Queensberry Rules.
But the only one's I really hear saying he will get gutter are: the media, that have the same interest in selling that preview as the boxing promoter has in selling the prize fight as a "coming no-holds barred, battle extrordinaire" ... It sales tickets, and the teaparty/gop that has a history of yelling foul whenever someone tells the fact-supported truth.

(10,005 posts)moderate Repug, like NY former Gov George Pataki.
This will complete the myth of the GOP returning to their roots. The big mea culpa scam and I worry they may pull it off.
