Is that bipartisan? Is that being fair to the other side? Is this sufficiently solicitous of some hide-bound Catholics eager to institute their own brand of theocracy? And as to pay equity, isn't it really up to the job creators, not government, to decide how much (or even whether) to pay their employees? Hmmmm?

More like Sanders, please. Lots more. On both sides of the aisle. We fought too hard to gain these small measures; can we at least fight against giving them back?

Nominate Bernie Sanders for PRESIDENT OF THESE UNITED STATES as our Democratic Nominee.
At least he is a REAL DEMOCRAT !!!!!!

And for all of the PEOPLE of Tennessee, and Democrats everywhere, PLEASE, PLEASE...
Please get behind Park Overall in the November election. (She stared in Family Matters on TV) She is a Democrat that is as progressive and adamant about the issues as Bernie Sanders. She brags about being a "Yellow Dog Democrat" and comes from a family of hard core Democrats. She can use all the help she can get, financial and any other type. She is trying to unseat
Senator Bob Corker He represents EVERYTHING that is wrong with the Senate.

party platform. We are not going back . . .

to Bush tax breaks for the wealthy;
to illegal wars on trumped up charges;

Didn't the Democratic majority in the house and senate approve just that during their last lame-duck session? Didn't Obama sign an extension on the bushes tax give aways to the uber rich? All the Democrats had to do was NOTHING and the uber rich tax give aways would have, well, gone away. Instead they extended them.

That horse has already left the barn and the Democrats were chasing it.

I'm voting Democratic but only because Democrats don't kiss as much uber rich a** as do RepubliCONS. But they can't pretend to be the man of the people during elections and then be the a** kissers of the uber rich the rest of the time without being called out on it.

THIS is what a fighter looks like. This is probably what makes Senator Sanders cling to his Independent status - cause he knows he'd have to play your game of kow-towing to the Rethugs if he wore a (D) next to his name. Obama, Harry, are you listening?

Isn't that STILL legal in most jurisdictions?

And even if it's illegal in some, is there any meaningful enforcement?

My Mother was an RN. She was a young just out of nursing school nurse when on a Saturday evening her Doctor came and picked her up to go to a remote farmhouse to nurse a patient. The young girl had gone out of state for an illegal abortion and it had gone very wrong. My Mother described this story may times, finding a bloated, swollen stomach with a patient in great pain. The Doctor did his work and my Mother stayed with the young girl for several days insuring her survival. She went on to get married and birthed children so it has a happy ending. This was sometime in the early 1930's.
My Mother was a Republican but always stood for legal abortion. Nobody likes abortion, but if it is illegal the cases as I have described would be commonplace again. It hasn't been that long but people tend to forget.
In my opinion the religious zealots against women's medical choice are trying to get government to do what they could not do within their flock.
Ours is a perverted society, we do not as a culture appreciate our sexuality as it is, a natural part of life.

Backyard abortionists were most definitely butchers, often literally. However they were butchers with some limited skill who mostly got it right(ish) and only sometimes fucked up.

Can you imagine how many DIY idiots would try and fail their first attempt?
