(39,961 posts)Verizon took advantage when it ruled in their favor, and their whining is what brought this back into play.
Republicans don't have the votes to overturn it, and even the Republican members of the FCC balked at voting against net neutrality, even though they eventually voted against.
Verizon and Comcast hoisted themselves on their own petards. Whining like 2 year olds that don't understand why mommy can give them a cookie but can't give them a pony, too, reinforces the stupidity of their PR department and executive management.

(11,417 posts)rid of it soon.
My service constantly goes on and off if I try to down load anything large or do streaming. Netflix and Amazon prime are constantly buffering in the begining when I watch a movie.

(11,804 posts)In a statement complaining about regulations written in the time of Steam Locomotives and and Telgraph, that's somewhat Moronic.
Wait, did I mean Ironic?

(39,961 posts)is a win for their customers. The same goes for Comcast. The more they hate it, the better it is for customers.
Great comment from the article on Ars Technica:
"Two amusing points about Verizon's little cry-baby blog post:
1. Verizon gladly invoked Title II when it worked to their advantage.
2. The only reason the FCC ruled the way it did today is because of Verizon's lawsuit that resulted in the FCC's original net neutrality rules being struck down.
You made your bed Verizon, now fucking lie in it. "

(20,043 posts)I currently have them. Fuck comcast too--don't know who's worse.
It's all a racket.
While I'm at it--fuck the electric company too--I know they're ripping me off. No way my electric bill should be 300 a month for a house my size. Yes, I'm good about turning things off. I don't keep my heat high...etc.

(6,342 posts)The worst of the worst are cable, internet, and telephone providers.
And they are all bad. They ultimately don't care because they know there are only a few options and the competition is just as bad.

(39,961 posts)with pissing off the little people, they've pissed off the big people, too. It was only a matter of time before they pissed on Republicans, Democrats and Independents alike.
Now come the bitter tears from Comcast and Verizon. I'm pretty sure you would have to be completely in their pocket not to stand up and say "Fuck you, you got what was coming to you Comcast and Verizon."
They were the ones pushing for more more more, and now they have pushed so far that they have made their own beds. I hope they enjoy lying in it, because they brought it upon themselves with their arrogance, just like AT&T did - and you see what happened there.
