Winter Storm Watch for the Los Angeles/Ventura/Santa Barbara counties.

Advisory: Winter Storm Watch for the Los Angeles/Ventura/Santa Barbara counties. The watch is valid through Monday Afternoon.
Dear Nixle User,
MAIN IMPACTS
Snow levels are expected to lower to 5000 feet by Saturday afternoon...then lower to between 4000-5000 ft by Saturday night. By Sunday the snow level will be between 3500 - 4500 ft. This could cause hazardous driving conditions across the I-5 Corridor both Saturday evening into Sunday as well as Highway 14 by Sunday morning.

Slight chance of thunderstorms will be possible beginning Saturday afternoon and continue into Sunday. If thunderstorms do develop over the area...brief heavy rain could cause the potential for debris flows to occur across recent burn areas in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. The best chance of thunderstorms over Los Angeles and Ventura County Burn Areas will be on Sunday...but can’t be ruled on Saturday afternoon as well.

Confidence for Thunderstorms over Burn areas for (Los Angeles and Ventura Counties) will be LOW on Saturday...but a bit higher on Sunday.

SYNOPSIS
An upper level low will move down the west coast from Washington State and move over Southern and Central California this weekend. Rain and snow could develop as early as Friday with snow levels lowering from 7,000 ft initially. Snow level will lower significantly by Saturday into Saturday night with very low snow levels by early Sunday morning. The upper low will sit over southern California through Sunday...then move east by Monday. Rain and Snow amounts will widely vary due to the nature of this cutoff low.
