Republic of Texas (RW secessionists) subpoena TX judge, get raided by law enforcement instead

I don't think the Republic of Texas expected this on Valentine's Day:

The FBI and US Marshal’s Office assisted deputies from Kerr County who were there in regards to a case involving members of the Republic of Texas.

According to the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office, a member of the Republic of Texas lost her Kerr County home to foreclosure. That did not sit well with the militia group. So, the International Common Law Court for the Republic of Texas issued a subpoena to the district judge who signed the foreclosure.

The Republic of Texas does not have the legal authority to issue subpoenas. Essentially, by doing so, they fabricated court documents, which is a Class A misdemeanor. Kerr County deputies were at the VFW Hall trying to determine who created the subpoena.

In the end, at least 20 officers corralled, searched and fingerprinted all 60 meeting attendees, before seizing all cellphones and recording equipment in a Valentine’s Day 2015 raid on the Texas separatist group.

"You can't just let people go around filing false documents to judges trying to make them appear in front of courts that aren't real courts." said Kerr County Sheriff Rusty Kierholzer, who led the operation.

I want to know why a VFW hall is being used as headquarters for a group of right wing assholes that think they are above the law. I can only view the secessionist’s members of the “Republic of Texas” as anti-American traitors and they should be treated as such. The VFW needs to pull the charter of the post.

All clubs that involve the use or the former use of a fire arm are infested with RWNJ NRA freaks. All clubs. All sports mans clubs are RWNJ heavens or hell depending upon your point of view. That mentality has definitely leaked into the VFW as well as the American legion. They have their hatred for Obama to help unite them. That is just plain old fashioned prejudice. One of the negative side effects of the election of a black man. Some people cannot reconcile that fact with their own world view and that has chased them over to the RWNJ side for now.

have their head up their ass, but most are not stupid and they don't put up with this kind of stupid. They may sympathize with stupid politics, but most believe in the law and would rather not have to deal with idiots like this. You have to understand that in all likelihood the judge that received the "subpoena" was not only a Republican, but, given the counties mentioned, probably a tea partier. The right will eventually implode from internal division. They still are willing to block vote with mainstream republicans, but this won't last. The circus that is the republican party plays out large in Texas, not because we have republicans who are really any more stupid than anyone else's, but we are the second largest state in population and we have a healthy and substantial minority of intelligent left leaning people who vigorously point out the stupidity. No stupidity in Texas can remain hidden as it can in places like Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and Alabama. Texas will eventually turn left, but hopeful before the right completely destroys it.

but why didn't someone wake me up and tell me!? I love my state, but some of my fellow Texans live in a constant state of denial.
